A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! As always, the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG and Star Trek Online, as well as other eventful releases such as Section 31, the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Sector 27F was a region of space, a sector located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, and was a location on star charts used by the Federation in the 23rd century.

History[]

In 2270, Pavel Chekov participated in an experiment under hypnosis to see if he could imagine himself as Harry Mudd and provide clues to his whereabouts. Chekov named the planet Kuban in Sector 27F, but also cited the planet Sarai in Sector 29G. The starship USS Enterprise proceeded to sector 27F, but did not find Mudd on Kuban. (TOS - Mudd's Angels short story: "The Business, As Usual, During Altercations")
