See and Seen

"See and Seen" is a VOY short story published in the digital subscriber supplement to Star Trek: Explorer, Issue 8 in September 2023. It first saw print in Titan Magazines' omnibus "A Year to the Day That I Saw Myself Die" and Other Stories in December 2024. Written by Peter Holmstrom, the story took place a few days after VOY episode: "Cold Fire".

Kes recalled Tuvok advising, "Imagine you are listening to a symphony and focusing on a single instrument" and "Do not fear your negative thoughts; they are part of you," in VOY episode: "Cold Fire" a few days prior to the story.
Similar to Anoallidin, a complex, inter-connected organism was discovered on Ophiucus III as described in TOS - Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor comic: "Weeds".
