This page details Sela in alternate universes; for the Sela in the primary universe see Sela.

Sela was the result of time travel between alternate timelines. She was the daughter of the Tasha Yar of the Yesterday's Enterprise timeline USS Enterprise-D, and a Romulan general.

Alternate timelines and realities[]

In an alternate timeline beset by the Q Continuum's temporal anomaly crisis, Commander Sela and Sela in shadow were pulled into the year 2380 of that amalgamated timeline. She joined Starfleet to help Q resolve the crisis. (ST video game: Timelines)

In an alternate reality where the Section 31 artificial intelligence Control merged with the Borg, Sela was a 25th century Human-Romulan genetic hybrid, a citizen of the Iconian Alliance serving as Starfleet officer in the 2410s decade. By the year 2411, Sela held the rank of captain and the position of commanding officer of the Odyssey-class starship USS Enterprise-F. Her mother Tasha Yar had been assimilated by the Control Borg and turned into their Control Borg Queen. At one point, Captain Sela saw the ship of a noted officer burning near the Bajoran wormhole during the Battle of Bajor. By 2411, the Solanae Dyson Sphere was the last bastion of the Iconian Alliance. When the Dyson sphere came under assault from the Borg, the Enterprise arrived to render assistance to the Iconians. Grendat-Bex of the Aetherian Concordium commented that the cavalry normally arrived on horseback when Sela and her away team beamed down, to which the captain replied it as the 25th century, "we've upgraded." Sela, the Iconians and their newfound Aetherian and Khitomer Alliance allies from the primary universe encountered the Control Borg Queen in the World Heart chamber. Yar called her daughter a tragic lackey of the Federation, while Sela identified her mother as the perfect Borg, a Queen of Thieves. She shot her mother but the Queen was protected by a personal shield. When Sela destroyed the World Heart, Yar returned to her Control Borg Queen Octahedron. The Allies battled the Control Borg fleet in the Dyson sphere. The Enterprise destroyed the Borg octahedron, killing Sela's mother. Captain Sela looked forward to further cooperation between the Iconian Alliance and their newfound, extradimensional allies. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Situation Under Control")

First Splinter timeline[]

In 2383 of the First Splinter[2] timeline, Sela was the Chairman of the Tal Shiar. Her Valdore-class warbird was struck by a trans slipstream phenomenon and deposited in another galaxy. She worked with Captain Geordi La Forge and the crew of the USS Challenger to return to the Milky Way Galaxy. (TNG novel: Indistinguishable from Magic)
