A sensor diagnostic analysis report was a type of report that was filed aboard Federation starships and concerned the ship's sensors.

History and specifics[]

Following his assignment to the USS Enterprise in 2267, Ensign Pavel Chekov was asked to compile an analysis report for Commander Spock. After compiling the report, Chekov was concerned that he should have rechecked them, but Spock informed Chekov that "rechecking you diagnostic analyses six times over borders on the obsessive". Despite this, Spock was pleased with his work and recommended him for promotion to junior navigator. (TOS comic: "No Compromise Part One")
