Sergei Dominico was a 23rd century Human man. He was a communications officer who served aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Biography[]
In 2269, the Enterprise was damaged by weapons fire from Centaurus in the aftermath of a terrorist bombing, and landing parties headed to the surface aboard Galileo II and Columbus to provide aid, leaving Nyota Uhura in command. Dominico replaced her at the communications station, and Uhura considered him to be her most able backup. She watched as he attempted futilely to pick up subspace communications, which were blocked by interference. He saw Leonard McCoy cross his fingers behind his back when navigator Diana Flores initially detected no threats to the shuttlecraft. Dominico eventually raised Kirk via a shortwave transmission, and reported that both shuttles made it safely within the planet's atmosphere. After a long duty shift, Uhura relieved Dominico to get some sleep. (TOS novel: Crisis on Centaurus)
