Sethan was a Hemanite woman and a member of Starfleet who served as a science officer.
Sethan served as science officer aboard the USS Starbound circa 2359, on a training cruise for Starfleet Academy graduates. When ship was attacked by Orion pirates, Sethan identified the attackers, and was present to defend the bridge. (TNG novel: Survivors)
