For other uses, see Sevrin.

The Sevrin class science vehicle was a mobile laboratory station ground vehicle used by the Federation.

History and specifications[]

Their primary purpose was the gathering of scientific data as well as any other forms of information useful to the colonists. They were essentially a large scaled mobile tricorder, the Sevrin was capable of conducting scientific, medical and engineering scans. They used a sophisticated sensor array which was invaluable when locating new sources of natural minerals.

It was unarmed and though it possessed a great deal of shielding, it was essential that they were escorted through dangerous positions. The crew requirements were just two individuals; a driver and a technician, the latter of which would monitor all the sensory data they were receiving. There was, however, room for a third officer if required which was usually filled by either a doctor, engineer or an additional science officer when the away mission required more specialist assistance. This seems to be named for the Tiburonian scientist Dr. Sevrin.
