Shabren was a Bajoran male who wrote at least ten prophecies.

Shabren's Fifth Prophecy predicted the Rebirth of Bajor after the Reckoning which would lead to the Golden Age. (DS9 episode: "The Reckoning")

Shabren's Fifth Prophecy also predicted Benjamin Sisko's encounter with the Pah-wraith in the Fire Caves in late 2375. (DS9 short story: "Horn and Ivory")

In 2376, Lenaris Holem tried to recall if Shabren had predicted the destruction of Sidau in his prophecies. (DS9 novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens)

In the alternate War of the Prophets timeline, it is revealed that Shabren is that timeline's version of Jean-Luc Picard, who travelled back in time to the regular timeline, became Shabren and wrote his various prophecies, one of which was concerning the Red orbs of Jalbador. (DS9 - Millennium novel: The War of the Prophets)
