Lieutenant Sharon Follett was a female Human Starfleet science officer, 41 years of age, assigned to the USS Enterprise in 2269.

She was both an astrophysicist and xenobiologist.

History[edit | edit source]

During her time at the Starfleet Academy, Professor James Atheling became her thesis advisor, and the two worked together from 2256 to 2258. Follett graduated from the Academy in 2258, and came second out of 286 cadets.

She'd had a short marriage which ended in divorce, and was romantically involved with science officer Andre Charvat in 2269.

In 2269, she accompanied James T. Kirk, Octavio Hernandez, Frost, Bounds, Hevelin and Mark Moore in the first shuttlecraft to explore the surface of the planet Anomaly. She became stranded on the planet, chosen as one of six people whose memories were explored by the telepathic Arivne, along with Atheling, Charvat, Spock, Leonard McCoy, and Rosaly Ybarra. These memories included choosing to have an abortion. (TOS novel: Planet of Judgment)
