Among the news that was received by the Enterprise (NX-01) from Earth in September 2151, was word that Duvall was promoted as the Captain of the Shenandoah. Upon learning this, Enterprise Captain Jonathan Archer was surprised, commenting, "thank God we're a hundred light-years away." (ENT episode: "Silent Enemy")
