The Shikedans were a civilization native to the planet Shikeda, a homeworld located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. By the 22nd century, Shikedans possessed highly sophisticated medical technology, as one of them visited the Oani homeworld of Oan in the year 2152 and was able to define the cause of the Oani's impending extinction more exactly than could the equipment on board Enterprise. Their home planet does not appear to be far from Oan. Little else is known about these people. (ENT novel: Surak's Soul)
