The Shrike class was a 25th century Changeling starship type, a warship class of which at least one vessel was operated by rogue Changelings in the 2400s. Captain Vadic's Shrike was a heavily armed vessel with weapons known and unknown to Starfleet in 2401. (PIC episode: "Disengage")

In the 2410s, the Khitomer Alliance deployed the Shrike class and classified it as a tier 6-rated intel juggernaut class. In the year 2411, ships of the class were armed with Lethean disruptors. (STO website: Incursion: Command the Shrike!)

History and technical specifications[]

Shrike 2411

The Shrike in 2411.

In the year 2401, the Shrike was a heavily armed warship commanded by Captain Vadic and her band of genetically modified Changelings. They sought revenge on the Federation for their participation in the Dominion War. Vadic herself was a minion to the Borg Queen. (PIC episode: "Disengage")

The Shrike was destroyed by the USS Titan-A before Frontier Day 2401. (PIC episode: "Surrender")

Vadic's Shrike was in operation again by 2411, overseen by an unknown party. The Khitomer Alliance acquired this class. (STO website: Incursion: Command the Shrike!)

Its standard weapons included the portal weapon and Lethean disruptors. Specifically, a Shrike-class intel juggernaut was armed with three Lethean disruptor dual cannons and two photon torpedo launchers on the fore and a pair of [[Lethean disruptor [turret]]s and one photon torpedo launcher facing aft. (STO - Incursion mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

This class was equipped with a impulse engines, warp core and a quantum slipstream drive, enabling it to reach impulse, warp, transwarp and quantum slipstream velocities. Cloaking was an innate ability thanks to the installed cloaking device. The hull was modular and could be modified at shipyards interfaces operated by New Romulus Shipyards, Klingon Defense Force Order of Builders and Starfleet Shipyards Operations at Alliance facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy. (STO - Incursion missions: "Explore the Flotilla", "The Hunt is On", "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Bridge officer stations allowed for a commander-ranked officer doubling as intel officer and tactical officer, a lieutenant commander doubling as engineer and miracle worker, a lieutenant commander of any department, a science officer doling the rank of lieutenant and an ensign of any department. As an Alliance intel juggernaut, it combined the active sensor arrays 'gather intel' mechanic of intel starships with a juggernaut array typical of juggernauts. This class was equipped with the Shrike juggernaut array. A battle-hardened ship of this class benefited from devastating weaponry, enhanced weapon banks, rapid repairs, enhanced weapon systems and eclectic collector of armaments. The portal weapon, originally of Daystrom Institute, Vau N'Akat and Traveler inception, was standard equipment aboard the Shrike class. (STO website: Incursion: Command the Shrike!)
