The Shuttle 06 was a 24th century Federation small craft, a Protostar-type shuttlecraft in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade. In the year 2383, the designation "Shuttle 06" was assigned to the Protostar-class starship USS Protostar. (PRD episode: "Starstruck")
Service history and disposition[]
Auxiliary vessels aboard the USS Protostar were manufactured on demand by a vehicle replicator. In 2383, the Unwanted had escaped the Vau N'Akat prison planet Tars Lamora and taken the Diviner's daughter Gwyndala with them. Gwyn escaped from the brig and tried to leave the ship. She instructed the computer to manufacture a shuttlecraft. Shuttle 06 remained incomplete because Rok-Tahk fought Gwyn inside the shuttle while it was still under construction. Gwyn tried to escape again when the crew landed the Protostar on Murder Planet, a world in the Hirogen system. The incomplete shuttle was thrown out of the shuttlebay. (PRD episode: "Dream Catcher")
The Protostar, with Gwyn back aboard, escaped the Diviner and the murderous vines of the alien planet in a hurry, leaving the Shuttle 06 wreck behind. (PRD episode: "Terror Firma")
In 2384, the Protostar crew had manufactured a new Shuttle 06. (PRD episode: "Supernova")
