The Sicon Ring was an asteroid belt at the outskirts of the Sicon system, located in the Sicondor Sector of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

Several large asteroids in the belt were capable of hosting mining or research outpost operations, but the majority of the belt's mass was made up of small ice and stone debris chunks.

Federation scientists theorized that the Sicon Ring was debris remains of a fourth planet in the system. Because remnants of technological artifacts were found in some of the asteroids, it had been hypothesized that its inhabitants somehow destroyed themselves, or the world was the victim of a spacial collision or calamity.

In 2269, helmsman Alban D'wara piloted the USS Yorktown through the Sicon Ring. Science officer Sandira Vashenka thought it was beautiful spectacle and hoped to study it. (LUG RPG module: TOS Core Game Book)
