Sierra City was the capital city of the Federation colony on Alpha Proxima II. In addition to government operations, it was also a central distribution point for much of the colony's supplies. Two hospitals served the city: Sierra City Medical Center and Kurkjian Memorial Hospital. A memorial to Captain Bernabe Posada was located in Posada Circle in the city.
