A silikh fly was a type of fly native to the planet Trill. It was known to be drawn to a flame, rather like an Earth moth.

In the late-24th century, the apprentice Trill Guardian Rantic Lan likened being drawn to guardianship as a silikh fly is drawn to a flame. (ST - New Worlds, New Civilizations short story: "Aversion")
