Simas was a male serving as a Starfleet officer in the 24th century.
As of the year 2375, he held the rank of ensign, and was assigned to the USS Sentinel, initially in engineering under chief engineer of Sentinel, Lieutenant Commander Sonya Gomez. He was rotated out of engineering due to his constant doomsaying, which had a negative effect on the morale of Gomez's crew. He was later assigned to bridge duty, where he continued his pessimism.
