Simon-316 was a single star with an associated star system. In the Kelvin timeline, it became host for the new homeworld of the Vulcan species following the destruction of Vulcan in 2258. (TOS - Legacy of Spock comic: "Part 4")

History[]

The fleet of surviving Vulcans was led by Spock the Elder and the Vulcan flagship VSS Forge of Surak to the Simon-316 system, located in the space between[1] the Federation and Romulan Star Empire. By 2259, a city had been established on the second planet, New Vulcan. (TOS - Legacy of Spock comic: "Part 4")

In 2259, Helios-1 was a Vulcan space station based nearby that helped terraform New Vulcan. The opening of the Rip, an intergalactic rift, led to an invasion of the system by the Gorn Armada. They attacked New Vulcan but were forced back into their galaxy by the USS Enterprise. (TOS video game: Star Trek)

Along the Romulan border, the closest major settlement was the Talvath system. (ST video game: Fleet Command)
