Since many capital ships employ a lieutenant commander as chief engineer, it is possible this character held that rank. Some vessels in the game are shown to be commanded normally by lieutenant commanders and commanders, meaning that this character, as a subordinate, might sometimes be portrayed at a lower rank. In cases where large capital vessels and flagships are employed, it is also plausible that the chief engineer could be a full commander. In a very rare case, Scotty became a captain of engineering.

No history or fate is established for this character in Star Trek, in which the name was randomly assigned by the SFC game software.
