This character is a member of the Dukat family native to the mirror universe.
For the primary universe counterpart, see Skrain Dukat.
For other uses, see Dukat.

In the mirror universe, Skrain G. Dukat was a Cardassian male who lived during the 24th century.

He was a cousin of Gul Akellen Macet, to whom he bore a striking resemblance, on his mother's side. (KE - Mirror Universe short story: "Family Matters")

Biography

Prior to Kira becoming Intendant of Bajor, Dukat served as Intendant of Bajor on Terok Nor. At one point, he had an affair with a Bajoran woman named Kira Meru. (ST novel: Dark Passions, Book One)

This led to him developing an unhealthy obsession with her daughter Kira Nerys, the Intendant of Bajor. (DS9 - Mirror Universe novel: Saturn's Children)

By 2372, he was the Supreme Legate of the Cardassian Central Command. (KE - Mirror Universe short story: "Family Matters")

On a visit to the mirror universe in 2375, the Rom of the primary universe half-jokingly asked his brother Quark if the mirror Dukat was the President of the United Federation of Planets in his universe after learning that Worf was the Regent of the Klingon Empire. Quark then informed him that the Federation did not exist in the mirror universe. (DS9 episode: "The Emperor's New Cloak")

In 2375, he sponsored his lover, Bajoran Minister Ro Laren, to become the new Intendant of Bajor. With her in the position, he was hopeful that they would make Cardassia the dominant power within the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. After Ro's arrest for treason, however, Bajoran First Minister Li Nalas considered a re-evaluation of Cardassia's influence over Bajoran affairs. (DS9 - Mirror Universe novel: Saturn's Children)

After these events, Dukat continued serving as Supreme Legate of the Central Command. In 2377, Dukat began pressing for and planning the invasion and occupation of Bajor as revenge for their secession from the Alliance. However, before the invasion could take place, Dukat was killed by his second-in-command, Corat Damar, in full view of the entire Cardassian people, who was acting under the telepathic manipulation of one of his Vulcan slaves. Damar ultimately succeeded him as Supreme Legate. By 2377, his half-Bajoran daughter Tora Ziyal was a member of the Terran Rebellion. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: Rise Like Lions)
