Vedek Sloi was a Bajoran woman who lived in the 24th century.
In the year 2370 Sloi worked as director of the Council on Ecological Controls. In that year, Benjamin Sisko attempted to persuade her to allow a family of Horta to settle on Bajor, but she was unmoving in her determination that they would damage Bajor's ecology. She even went as far as suggesting Sisko should kill the Horta as an alternative solution to his problem of finding them a home. Sloi was latter persuaded to allow the Horta to stay on Bajor's moon Baraddo when they discovered valuable mineral deposits there. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky)
