The slushpuppy was a white, heavily-furred, four-footed animal native to the planet Axanar.
Slushpuppies were about the size of small cats. They attacked with claws that were also suitable for gripping into snow and ice. Living in packs, slushpuppies were fairly territorial. Though they were not known for attacking humanoids as sources of food, they would try to drive intruders away from their lair.
The slushpuppy was often found in forests and in rough terrain, where they could find wild berries and other assorted fare. They would eat almost anything. It was not very intelligent, and the slightest provocation would sometimes scare it away. The slushpuppy tended to travel and hunt in small groups for mutual protection from larger predators.
