Smithers was a 24th century hologram, a character in the Dixon Hill holonovel The Rich and the Dead.

Fictional biography

Smithers served as Eldon Truscott's butler during the 1940s decade. In 1942, during the course of the holonovel, he greeted Dixon Hill at the door when the gumshoe detective visited Truscott residence.

History

In 2369, Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher interacted with the Smithers hologram in the holodeck when the USS Enterprise-D orbited Beta Maradi VII. (TNG comic: "Reductions & Deductions")
