Among the millions of items in the Smithsonian's collections as of the late 23rd century were three 20th and early 21st century Terran space probes, recovered in deep space by Captain Anne Gauvreau of the SS Ian Shelton. Alternate timeline[]
In an alternate timeline created when Yeoman J. Mia Colt was sent forward in time from 2254 to 2293, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) became a popular attraction at the San Francisco Smithsonian Museum of Air, Sea and Space after it was decommissioned. In 2293, Colt reappeared in her former quarters aboard the Enterprise, which she was astonished to discover had been relegated to being a museum exhibit. (EV comic: "Future Tense, Part Two")
