Holodeck door

Holodeck door and arch.

Snake Town was a holonovel, a holographic program that was in the process of being composed by Data at some point in or before the year 2371.

History and specifics[]

Data's first drafts and revisions for his attempts at being an author were stored in the Enterprise-D holodeck, but didn't appear to be approaching completion.

Due to a holodeck malfunction in on stardate 48163.1, William T. Riker became trapped in this holoprogram, unable to shut down the holodeck, forcing him to play out the scenario, and all of Data's other holonovels, to completion. (TNG - Warped short story: "Werewolf-Wolf")
