Snowsnake.
Though physically shaped like a snake, the snowsnake is warm-blooded, with a thick coat of white fur covering an almost armored, scaly skin. Fairly sluggish, it makes up for its lack of speed with a cunning and strength not often found in reptilian life-forms. In addition, the snowsnake has a poisonous, slow-acting venom that causes general physical weakness. An antidote does exist and can be synthesized aboard most starships.
