Solarion IV was the fourth planet of the Solarion system. It had at least one moon. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals, ST comic: "Captain's Log: Jellico")

In 2347, a Federation colony was established on the planet. One of the major contributing factors in the planet's settlement was scientific interest in the Solarion system's unusual Oort cloud. Most of the original colonists were scientists. (ST comic: "Captain's Log: Jellico")

The colony was destroyed by the Cardassian Union in 2367, as part of an operation design to implicate Bajoran terrorists. (TNG episode: "Ensign Ro")

The following year, the Federation established a new scientific outpost in orbit of the planet, named Campagna Station. (ST comic: "Captain's Log: Jellico")

A Cardassian science vessel, the CDS Harkon, attacked the station that year, planning to use its equipment in metagenic weapons research, but was driven off by Captain Edward Jellico and the crew of the USS Cairo. (ST comic: "Captain's Log: Jellico")

Solarion IV's location was marked on a tactical map of the Cardassian border during the Dominion War. (DS9 episode: "Tears of the Prophets")

In 2381, Federation President Nanietta Bacco offered the planet to Ambassador Elim Garak as part of an offer of three systems to help rebuild the Cardassian Union, in hopes of gaining their support in an allied force to fight back the Borg Collective's invasion. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)
