Solis II was the second planet of the Solis star system, in the Alpha or the Beta Quadrant.
In the late 23rd century, the Starfleet Marine Corps kept a garrison here, of which Captain Joachim Hartzer was a member. Hartzer participated in a training exercise on Solis II, but his unit was badly defeated. Shortly afterwards he was arrested for the murder of fellow officer. Deemed to disturbed and psychotic, Hartzer was sentenced to confinement at a Federation treatment center, but escaped during transportation. (FASA RPG module: Orion Ruse)
