Lieutenant Sorak was a "lean, tough-looking, white-haired Vulcan" aged 118 years old, the security chief of the USS Sagittarius in the 2260s who also doubled as ship's lead scout. He had, at some point prior to 2266, successfully completed the Vulcan ritual of Kolinahr. (VAN novel: Reap the Whirlwind)
By 2269, he also held the position of chief tactical officer aboard the Sagittarius and had been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant commander. (Seekers novel: Second Nature)
