Soron's Hole lived up to its name as a seedy dive located deep inside the Shadow Market. It was a two-story building, with no windows on the ground floor. There was no front door—it had been torn out by one rowdy patron and never replaced for several years due to lack of need.
Inside, the bar's common room was dusty and smoky, lit by a few small battery-powered lamps. Furnishings included plasti-steel tables (expensive but too heavy to lift and hurl) and the bar itself. A well-worn staircase led up to the second floor, where a few small rooms were available for rent; a basic room was quite spartan, with bed, desk, chair and wardrobe. A small back door was provided for patrons to make a quick entrance; it lead into narrow alleys.
Most the Hole's clientele—typical Shadow Market denizens—preferred their privacy, so it tended to be quieter than other, similar establishments, despite the signs of occasional barroom brawling. Getting drunk or taking drugs was their main occupation.
Ivra Kerav was known to conduct business from Soron's Hole, among other places in the Shadow Market, usually from a table in the far corner, but he also rented a basic upstairs room. In reference stardate 2/1412, Ivra met with Kolor here. (FASA RPG module: Orion Ruse)
