The Spad 7 was a type of early-20th century biplane aircraft that was deployed by the United States Army's Air Service and saw combat during World War I.

Legacy[]

In 2285, a holographic projector generated holograms of a Spad 7 and an Albatros D-III for a video game at a bar in San Francisco. Dr. Leonard McCoy observed as gamers controlled the aircraft in a mock dogfight. The Albatros was unprepared when the Spad 7 shot it down from behind. (TOS novelization: The Search for Spock)
