Spatial torpedo

A spatial torpedo

Spatial torpedoes were a type of torpedo carried aboard Earth Starfleet ships in the mid 22nd century and later aboard Federation Starfleet vessels. (ENT episode: "Fight or Flight", SCE eBook: Foundations, Book Two)

History[]

The Enterprise (NX-01) carried a complement of Triton-class spatial torpedoes following its launch in the year 2151. (ENT episode: "Minefield")

The USS Archon was equipped with Mark II spatial torpedoes in 2167, when it crashed on the planet Beta III. Three of these were salvaged and stored by the Betans, and used in 2267 by Starfleet engineers Montgomery Scott and Mahmud al-Khaled to create an electromagnetic pulse which disabled the reactivated computer Landru. (SCE eBook: Foundations, Book Two).

After the birth of the Federation, the USS Franklin was equipped with spatial torpedoes at least until her disappearance in 2164. She still possessed the weapons in functioning condition when she was found by the crew of the USS Enterprise in the Kelvin timeline in 2263. (TOS movie: Star Trek Beyond)
