The Spinner-class (also known as the Web Spinner-class) was a type of Tholian starship in service with the Tholian Assembly in the 23rd century. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update.)

Specifications[]

The Spinner-class was a small starship with the typical tri-lateral symmetry of Tholian design. They were equipped with a type of torpedo weapon similar to a plasma torpedo, deflector shields and a Tholian web generator.

History[]

In the year 2268, the USS Enterprise encountered two Spinner-class ships under the command of Commander Loskene while responding to a distress call from the USS Defiant. The Tholian ships disabled the Enterprise and proceeded to spin a web around the Starfleet ship. (TOS episode: "The Tholian Web")
