Lieutenant Spirit Claw Sanawey (sometimes known as Spirit Claw Sanaway) was a Human Starfleet officer of Apache descent, who served as communications officer aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2240s. (TOS novel: Final Frontier)
Biography[]
When the Enterprise arrived in orbit of Tarsus IV, Sanawey was the first to realize that something was seriously wrong when he was unable to establish contact with anyone on the surface. It was later revealed that Governor Kodos had slaughtered over 4,000 colonists following a deadly famine. (TOS - Enterprise Logs short story: "Though Hell Should Bar the Way")
- Sanawey's later appearance in "Though Hell Should Bar the Way" had his name changed to be spelled "Sanaway".
