Plot[]
The show takes place in the present day. A new, experimental organization is being started, known as Starfleet. But just as Commander Sean Christopher begins orientation for the first class of cadets, security is breached when the USS Wells materializes. The shuttlecraft-sized timeship is crewed by Voula, a Vulcan Starfleet officer from the future.
Voula warns that Simeon, a Romulan from the future, is going to attempt to change history by delaying humanity's technological advancement. They are attempting to steal something known as the Core, which turns out to be a cadet at the newly-formed Starfleet who will one day become among the first people to land on the planet Mars.
