In 2268, the USS Enterprise picked up Dhoraxi Ambassador Xahd at Starbase 14. While beaming to the starbase's surface installation, Captain James T. Kirk was transposed into an alternate timeline in which the Dhoraxi Empire replaced the Federation. (TOS - New Visions comic: "1971/4860.2")
In 2269, the Metans attacked the station. When the Enterprise arrived to render assistance, only 74 of a crew of 5700 survived.
