Starbase 176 was a 24th century Federation space station, a Sigma-class starbase with associated facilities in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade. (ST video game: Armada)

Service history[]

Starbase 176 was one of the sites involved in the Borg Collective's invasion and conflicts related to attaining an Omega particle in the year 2376. (ST video game: Armada)

In 2377, Starbase 176 was located near habitable planets in the star system 176.

In that year, the starship USS Enterprise-E rushed to Starbase 176 after receiving a distress call stating that the Borg had attacked and a Venture-class scout reporting a Borg presence. The Enterprise arrived alongside a task force in time to restore the base's defenses to fight off the second Borg wave, attacking the base with assimilated Starfleet vessels. The Borg were stopped and the assimilated vessels were retaken, including the Nebula-class USS Douglass, which provided valuable intelligence on the Collective's activities. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Recovery")

No other fate was established for this starbase as the name was assigned to a playing field station by the game software.
