Starbase 68

Starbase 68 was a Federation starbase facility in operation in the 24th century.

Shortly after his graduation from Starfleet Academy, Arlen McAteer was assigned to the starbase to serve as an aide to Admiral Bailey, in the early 24th century. McAteer was not impressed with Bailey as either an admiral or as a man, and it was while serving there that he decided that he would become an admiral himself one day. (STA novel: Progenitor)

The USS Enterprise-D traveled to the starbase in 2364 to transfer criminals Darryl Adin and Nalavia over to Starfleet custody at the base. However, Adin was cleared of all charges prior to arrival, and left the Enterprise at Starbase 68 to meet up with his mercenary organization instead. (TNG novel: Survivors)
