Starfleet Bureau of Standards

The Starfleet Bureau of Standards was a division of Starfleet that existed in the 22nd century.

After the end of the Romulan War, the Starfleet Bureau of Standards and the Vulcan Science Academy chose a point in the Milky Way Galaxy to be the galactic equivalent of Greenwich Mean Time. (DS9 - Millennium novel: The War of the Prophets)
