The Starfleet Impulse Engine Testing Grounds was an impulse engine testing facility operated by Starfleet in the 23rd century. The facility was located in the city of El Paso on Earth's North American continent.

Ryan Leslie would often hike to the outskirts of the facility and watch the testing of the impulse engines on clear Summer evenings. (TOS - Who's Who in Star Trek comic: "Issue 1")
