A starship, starcraft or interstellar spacecraft is a space vessel capable of faster-than-light speeds (i.e., able to travel between stars), typically using warp drive, though several other methods of propulsion have been developed and observed.
History and specifics[edit | edit source]
The term normally refers to large, multi-purpose vessels, as opposed to vessels such as cargo ships, transports, warp shuttles, and runabouts, which are designed for more specific or limited functions.
