Matthew Ryan of the ECS Fortunate enjoyed the first steak he had had in months when he shared a meal with Ensign Travis Mayweather on board the Enterprise. (ENT episode: "Fortunate Son") Archer often enjoyed the porterhouse cut of steak. He would also share parts of his steak with his pet beagle Porthos. (ENT novel: Last Full Measure)

When Ensign Hoshi Sato was examining the Kanthropian replicator she wondered if it could produce Tekka-maki or Kappa-maki. When it could not produce the Japanese dishes, she ordered a steak.
