Stella Mudd was the daughter of arms dealer Barron Grimes. She was also Harry Mudd's shrewish wife he had fled from years before. He created an Android in her image - with a cut-off switch so he could get the final word in at last. James T. Kirk deactivated the switch, leaving her to punish Mudd. (TOS episode & novelization: I, Mudd; DSC episode: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad")
