Stephen Decatur was a 19th century Human man who lived on the planet Earth. He was an officer in the United States Navy and the commanding officer of the schooner USS Enterprise.
Biography[]
In the 19th century, Decatur commanded the Enterprise during a battle with pirate ships in Tripoli. (TOS novel: The Wounded Sky)
Legacy[]
A number of Earth vessels, and later Federation spacecraft were named for Decatur.
