A strike raider was a type of raider starship operated by the Klingon Defense Force in the 23rd century.

The vessel type was about 30 meters long, with three cylindrical aft engine pods and a long, narrow hull. Piloted by at least two personnel, it was capable of atmospheric flight and could land vertically. It was quite fast, with its impulse engines able to produce more thrust than a Constitution-class starship.
Service history and disposition[]
In the 2260s decade, a strike raider was deployed to the secret Klingon base on Seggor. In the year 2266, one such vessel was assigned to decoy the Federation starship USS Enterprise to Seggor. Closing fast, it struck two photon torpedoes against the starship's primary hull, then used speed and evasive maneuvers to avoid return fire. Captain James T. Kirk was aggravated by the brazen attack and ordered the Enterprise to pursue. The strike raider made it to Seggor at least 30 minutes ahead of them, and was able to land at one of the base's concealed landing platforms. When a class F shuttlecraft was launched from the starship to search the area, it could find no trace of the raider. (TOS comic: "The Klingon Ultimatum")
