Sturek was a Vulcan Starfleet cadet serving the late 23rd century. Born on 2261, he was part of a starship bridge simulation cadet group, whose "captain" was Cadet David Forester. (TOS video game: Starfleet Academy)

Early life

In Starfleet Academy he took some computer classes with David Forester.

During the Starfleet Academy Command School opening, he and other cadets participated in a faux assault to the auditorium. Armed with a phaser rifle, he was shooting at the back and rushed down the aisle toward the front platform. As cadet Forester attempted to save the lives of Aex Rotherot and Hikaru Sulu, Sturek loomed over him, but James T. Kirk slammed him against the back wall and his phaser rifle flew out. After the show, he helped Geoffrey Corin on his feet.

In the Command School simulations he acted as Forester's science officer. (TOS novel: Starfleet Academy)

Background

Sturek SNES

SNES version of Sturek

Sturek, Vanda M'Giia, Robin Brady and Aex Rotherot were the only characters (aside from Kirk) to appear in both the console and PC versions of the game, although there was a character similar to Geoffery Corin named Geoff Colond.

Sturek's age was listed as 27 in the Super NES version of the game. However, it also appears the console version was set slightly before "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", while the PC version was set after "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" and about two and a half years before "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country."

In the "best ending" scenario of the console version, Sturek (son of Stoon) was assigned as the Science officer on the USS Shereem, a ship that vanished mysteriously in the Beta Umpales Nebula on Stardate 8912.3.
