Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Styra space station was a facility in orbit of the planet Styra in the 83 Beta system in the 23rd century.

Background[]

The third star in the 83 Beta system had become erratic and threatened the lives of everyone on Styra. The space station contained a massive transmutation beam generator. The device employed Project Atlas technology and was capable of converting the entire planet into a biomagnetic recording.

History[]

In 2267, the installation successfully dematerialized Styra so that it could be taken to another star system. (TOS comic: "The Hijacked Planet")

It was not stated whether the station remained in the 83 Beta system after converting Styra, or was towed to Styra’s destination star system, so as to rematerialize the planet.
