The Sugg were a race that existed tens of thousands of years ago.

The Sugg settled Rigel VIII, and were one of the first species to utilize its primitive natives, the Orions, as slaves sometime 18,000–16,000 BCE (reference stardates −200/00 to −180/00). The Sugg taught the Orions to work as farmers and even began to export the slaves offworld. Other races began to see the value of Orion slaves and began raiding Botchok themselves, preferring to take Orions already enslaved and trained. To protect their property, the Sugg armed the Orions with slugthrowers, though the level of weaponry soon escalated. To limit conflict between themselves, the slaving races signed the Treaty of Kammzdast, while their Orion slaves conducted proxy warfare on their behalf.

One Sugg slaver whose journals survived to the present day was P'tak. (FASA RPG - The Orions module: Book of Common Knowledge)

Only one unnamed original signatory was still in existence by 13,781 BCE (stardate −157/81), making it highly likely that they had died out by this time.
