The Supreme Medal of Honor was an award given by Starfleet that recognized valor and bravery in the actions of certain officers.

History and specifics[]

Colonel Benjamin Kirk earned a Supreme Medal of Honor posthumously for his actions during the Klingon Repulsion, the fourth such medal granted in the past two centuries. In 2245, Kirk's medal was officially presented to Winona Kirk and a young James T. Kirk. (TOS comic: "Captain James T. Kirk: Psycho-File")
