Commander Suran was a male Romulan who was an officer in the Romulan Star Navy.
Biography
In 2379, Suran supported Shinzon's bid to take over the Romulan Star Empire by assassinating the Romulan Senate, in exchange for Shinzon's support in an attack on the Federation. Commander Donatra eventually convinced Suran that Shinzon's genocidal plans against Earth were unconscionable. Suran subsequently commanded the Mogai-class warbird IRW Soterus alongside Donatra's Valdore when she went to assist the USS Enterprise during the Battle of the Bassen Rift. In one timeline, Suran helped Donatra keep control of the Third and Fifth Fleets in 2379 and 2380 after Shinzon's death.
Suran spoke fondly of Donatra in 2387 during an interview. By this point, Suran was a farmer on the Talvath colony. He stated that despite arguments and the rumor that she had killed him, that they were friends. Suran stated his belief that she was still alive. (ST website : The Path to 2409)
